Dr. Robert G. Alianiello grew up in Lutherville, MD
and received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Towson State University
(Biology / Zoology). He also has a second Bachelor of Science Degree in Visual
Sciences and a Doctorate Degree in optometry from the Pennsylvania College of
Optometry (SALUS University).
After graduating from Towson State University, he spent the next several years
working on research investigating GI diseases including Crohn's Disease,
Ulcerative Colitis and Collagenous Colitis in the GI Pathology Department at
The Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions.
Dr. Alianiello co-authored the following research article which was published in
the medical journal, Digestive Diseases and Sciences, in April, 1992:

After this, he briefly worked in Fort Lauderdale at the North Ridge Medical
Center in their Surgical Pathology Department before returning north.
Dr. Alianiello attended the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia
and graduated with honors. His clinical experience included rotations in general
optometric care, pediatric optometric care, management and treatment of eye
disease, and a rotation at the Baltimore VA Hospital.
Dr. Alianiello is certified by the National Board of Examiners in Optometry.
In his spare time, Dr. Alianiello enjoys wildlife photography, drawing/cartooning,
and is a member of American MENSA.
